2010 Session of Grand Lodge and Rebekah Assembly of Minnesota

The 158th Annual Session of the Grand Lodge of Minnesota Independent Order of Odd Fellows will be June 18 and 19 at the Plymouth Radison Hotel and Conference Center. Likewise, the Rebekah Assembly will convene at the same time.
The Conference Center is located near the intersection of Interstae 494 and Hwy 55 in Plymouth, MN.
Co-Chair are Brother David Adams and Sister Katy Hubred. Adams can be reached at david_ace_adams@hotmail.com for more information.

The Patriarchs Militant and the Ladies Auxialliary Patriarchs Militant will attend the Fort Snelling Chapel service on May 3rd. This is to coincide with the national Wreath Laying event held at Arlington National Cemetery at the Tomb of the Unknowns.

On Sunday, September 14 an open house rally will be held in Northfield to have open discussions on Odd Fellows, Rebekahs, and United Youth Group lodges and their programming. The event starts at 11:30 with a lunch and concludes by 1:00. The event is happening on the Three Links Campus at Friendship Hall at the corner of Odd Fellows Lane and Hwy 19.
The afternoon continues with degree work being conferred on those wishing to join the Friendship No. 50 Odd Fellows lodge. Contact Grand Master Doug Plott at 952-238-1755 for more information.

Pilgrimage to the Tomb of the Unknowns

The Independent Order of Odd Fellows will particpate in the 75th Pilgrimage to the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery on May 2-4. Grand Master David Adams and his wife Deb, Grand Secretary John Reynolds and Grand Scribe Jeane Reyonods will represent the Minnesota delegation during the parade and wreath laying ceremony on Sunday at the cemetery.
Members of the Minnesota Jurisdiction will participate at Fort Snelling Historic Chapel on Sunday at the 11:00 service to coinside with the national event.

The Jurisdictional Youth committee will hold its United Nations Speech contest at the Lodge Hall in Execelsior, MN on Sunday, February 4 in the afternoon. The committee meets at 11:00 a.m. to work on the details of the trip and other projects.
Lodges pay the contest fee for their delegate to compete for the selection process. Selection is made by judges on academic merit, personal conduct, and a 5 minute speech on a current U.N. issue. Contact Donna Perryman for more information.

All the Odd Fellows and Rebekah lodges in Minnesota begin their new fiscal year on Oct 1, 2006. Installation of officers for the coming term will be completed during the month. Many of these ceremonies are open to the public and a few communities still have a Joint Installation ceremony where both the Odd Fellow and Rebekah lodge install officers at the same meeting.

The Grand Lodge of Minnesota of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows and the Rebekah Assembly of Minnesota will hold their Annual meetings Friday and Saturday, June 16 and 17 at Hutchinson, MN. The Camp Fa-Ho-Cha (Minnesota Odd Fellow Youth Camp) and the Three Links Campus (Minnesota Odd Fellows Home)Board of Directors annual meetings will be Friday Morning. The Official openings and general business proceedings start in the afternoon. Evening banquets conclude Friday acitivies. On Saturday morning business reconvenes. Saturday evening banquet proceeds the Installaiton of the new Grand Master and Assembly President. Late regisrations will be accepted.

The annual sessions of the Grand Lodge of Minnesota and the the Rebekah Assembly of Minnesota will hold their annual sessions at the Radison Hotel in Rochester on June 18 and 19.
Camp Fa-Ho-Cha board is the first meeting on Friday, folllowed by the Three Links Care Center. The seating of the officers kicks of the afternoon activities, followed by the opening of both bodies. Friday evening will be Memorial service and committee gatherings. Business will be completed on Saturday and the Installaion of Officers will conclude the Saturday events.

The Patriarchs Militant will have a Memorial Service at the cemetery in Northfield, MN on Sunday, August 10. The homage is to those buried in the Odd Fellows portion of the cemetery as wellas those passing in the last year. Full dress uniform is requested. The Patriarchs Militant and the Ladies Auxillary to the Patricarchs Militant will host a Memorial Service at the grave sites of the Odd Fellows at the Northfield Cemetary. The group will gather at Friendship Lodge #50 at the corner of Hwy. 19 and Odd Fellows Lane at 9:30 a.m. They will caravan to the cemetary for the service and return to the hall for Potluck dinner around 11:30. Full dress class "A" uniforms and swords required. A brief meeting will follow.
